Every Sunday our first lady ask us to bless the Bishop with 50.00 or more. Should we be doing this?
I have no problem with blessing my Bishop but, should we we told how much to give?
Can a member question their first lady if they don't understand some of the things they are doing in the church?

Giving
I agree with the writer of 2cor.8:12-14. I also think the first lady should not be the one asking for her own house. The Bishop should just do the will of God and God shall supply all his needs. |

Give joyfully, not with a grudging spirit
If you truly think about it, did Jesus ever ask for money? Did he tell his disciples to get a credit card? No he told them not to pack any extra provisions because he wanted them to know that his father Jesus was the ultimate provider. The only thing we are required by God to give is a tenth of our increase (which belongs to him anyways) and cheerfully give offerings. If you feel grudged about giving, then just remember that a gift out of guilt, not out of joy may not be a gift after all. |
