I re-newed my life to Christ in Nov.2007 since then I was doing good until here lately. I have felt alone and the flesh has over taken me time and time again by causing me to think unpure thoughts, cursing at times, and falling back into worldly ways.
I feel as if I have slipped away and God will not forgive me for doing so.
Will He? Does He still love me and want me?
How can He forgive me for being so stupid and letting satan win and giving in? I felt bad when I messed up and even knew I was messing up but did it anyway. I didn't like it or myself. I want to continue my walk with God, will He still want me and love me and forgive me? -Kerry

Frogiveness
Your heavenly father loves you more than anyone else on this earth could ever love you. He knows your heart and wants you to let him have complete control in your life. If you truly desire to be forgiven, you will be forgiven. You must also forgive yourself. If you keep dwelling on what you have done, you will not be able to actually have all the blessings God has for you. The Bible tells us in Psalms 37:24, 'Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand.' Put your hand in God's hand and keep your eyes on him and you will find your way to living a holy and wonderful life for him. Pray when you are tempted and tell satan in God's name to leave you immediately and God will remove him. |

Yes God will forgive you.
Dear Kerry, I just want to touch you and comfort you by affirming onceagain that God will forgive you. Why am I so sure? God in His Word in 1 John 1:9 (KJV) If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. [ He washes us continuously in His precious Blood] Amp . Bible. I used to be so afflicted that I used to waste hours crying over my sin and worrying about my sins till jesus led me to this truth. His word is true and He is a faithful God. All we need to do is : just accept and acknowledge that I sinned and and confess. Do not justify. God is our Father and He is waiting for us. It is the dwvil that wants to take you away from the presence of God , keeps you whining and guilty. Take heart Jesus loves youand forgives you when you confess. Commit yourself to Jesus every moment. He will guide you. |

God will not leave you!
Kerry, When I read your question, it really touched my heart. In fact, I was almost in tears because you touched me so deeply. Unlike people that you may know, God loves you with Agape love. That means that His love is not conditional. It's not based on how good you are, but on how good He is. It is by grace that God loves you, not because you have earned His love. You can not do anything to make Him love you less...or more. I really want to encourage you to join in on our the free Reaching for the Hem conference that we are having in a few weeks. It is totally free, and you can do each conference session when it is convenient to your schedule. One of the topics that I will personally be covering is feeling unworthy of God's presence and His love and how Satan uses it to keep us separated from God. I really think that it will bless you and help you to begin rebuilding the relationship with God that you really want. Once you register for the conference, be sure to go to the link that I give you to the Reaching for the Hem Blog. I have already put up a short video on unworthiness that I think will bless you. God Bless! Ameerah Lewis Are YOU Reaching for the Hem? |
