My daughter is a Lesbian - I happen to believe, that is the way God made her.

Her choices seem to be, to carry on living in a same sex relationship, live celibate, or hell as may right wing Churches, would like you to believe waving their Bibles.

Your Daughter
by: Anonymous

i don't for one minute think that God created your daughter to be homosexual or cellibate. This is not part of his plan. In fact this totally goes against God's teachings and plans for our lives. I believe that your daughter has had an encounter with someone or something that has taken her self worth away from her. There are people groups that despise God and His teachings and they draw people into their ranks by making them feel that they can't live without them or their ways. Your daughter needs to come to Jesus and ask forgiveness and ask Jesus into her life and become one of His children and let real love fill her life. I would think that maybe you should approach her with the gospel. This may be very difficult at first, but if you bathe your efforts in prayer and direction from God and ask Him to touch her heart and make her ready to hear you, you may be able to reach her. She just needs to feel loved and protected. I know that only God's love is the perfect love and only through Jesus can we experience the total awesomeness of His love and forgiveness.

Homosexuality in the Bible Part 2

Answer Continued (ran out of room)...

If we continue on with that same scripture from where we left off, we see a perfect descriptions of what today's society is beginning to look like...

"They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them." (Romans 1:29-32 NIV)

So, the next question becomes, what can someone, like your daughter who is under the bondage of homosexual, do?

I personally know of many people that God has set free from homosexuality, and bi-sexuality as well. Like any bondage, if we are willing to admit that it is not God's will and humble ourselves before Him instead of thinking that our way of doing things is right and we have no way of changing (which is what the devil wants us to believe), God can break those things off of us with His love and guidance.

So, your daughter's only only options are not to live as a lesbian or to be celibate. If she is willing to take herself before the Lord and humble herself (which many find it hard to do in our current self-righteous society who thinks they can do no wrong - if it feels right no one can tell me it isn't mentality is running rampant) He has the power to change her if she is willing to change. But, she has to be willing which many homosexuals are not. There has been a certain kind of arrogance that has developed with many people who are bound under the yoke of homosexuality, and they almost wear their sin like a badge of honor. For many, they don't want to give it up because they believe that is who they are and they don't want anyone to tell them any different. But, that is not who God made her to be, and she can still be the person she was created as. It will not be easy, and she can not do it alone - [Only God can do it for her!] That is very important to note because only God can free someone from this kind of bondage. Anyone who tries to stop on their own will fail and begin buying into the lie that there is just no use.

I pray that I answered your question.

God Bless!

Homosexuality in the Bible Part 1
by: Ameerah

I know that this is a question that is close to your heart, so I want to take care in answering you. I am not one of those hate filled people who does not have one ounce of God's love running through their hearts. I believe in using God's love to draw people closer to Him, because once they get into that relationship with Him, His Holy Spirit will convict them of their wrong doing - that's Biblical.

But, I also don't believe in lying to people and trying to make them feel better about what the Bible says is bondage to sin. Now, when I say bondage, before each of us comes to God, we are usually under some type of bondage or spiritual addiction. Whether it be to pornography, fornication, alcohol, or whatever, we usually have our secret sins. The issue is that, for some reason, many people in the church have decided to make homosexuality out to be so much worse than all of the other bondages that people come to the Lord with. But, to God, bondage is bondage and sin is sin. He is strong enough to set each of us free from it if we are willing to humble ourselves and recognize that we really need Him (the One who loves us more and knows us better that anyone else).

I want to walk you through this rather long scripture, because it really tells us a lot about why some people are bound under the yoke of homosexuality.

"Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. [They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things] rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.
[Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.]

Furthermore, [since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness], evil, greed and depravity."(Romans 1:24-29 NIV)

Homosexuality is not from God. God did not make your daughter gay any more than He made someone else to be under any other kind of bondage to sin. Homosexuality is what happens in the absence of God. It is what happens to a country when, as a whole, they decide to choose to more worship (focus ones thoughts and love towards) themselves and the works of their own hands more than God. When that happens, God removes His hand of protection from them and they are vulnerable to all types of evil.
