RELATIONSHIP IS MORE THAN A FEELING A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD IS KNOWING THAT YOU ARE HIS WHETHER YOU FEEL IT OR NOT.AND AGAIN THIS COMES RIGHT BACK TO THE WORD OF GOD- GOD'S WORD IS OUR FOUNDATION BECAUSE IT IS THE TRUTH AND IT WANT CHANGE WITH OUR FEELINGS.HERE ARE JUST A FEW SCRIPTURES TO START WITH,AND READ YOUR BIBLE WHETHER YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU'RE READING OR NOT I KNNOW FROM EXPERINCE THAT GOD WILL REVEAL HIS WORD TO YOU JOHN1:12 ROMANS10:9 IF YOU HAVE CONFESSED WITH YOUR MOUTH THAT JESUS IS GOD'S SON AND YOU BELIEVE IN YOUR HEART(DEEP WITHIN)THAT GOD RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD THEN YOU ARE SAVED AND THAT IS THE START OF YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD .THEN JUST KEEP ON PRAYING AND READING YOUR BIBLE THE WORD OF GOD WILL GIVE STRENGTH TO YOUR FAITH ROMANS10:17 JOHN5:24 JOHN10:28-30. YOU ARE SECURE IN CHRIST JESUS FOREVER PRAISE GOD HE CANNOT LIE!!HIS LOVE FOR YOU WILL NOT CHANGE. LOVE IN CHRIST PAT

I think this is such an important question, and I am glad that you have asked it. First off, the fact that you have even thought to ask this question means that your heart is directed towards God. That is a huge part of having the relationship with Him that I know you desire. But, that desire is not enough. Think of any relationship that you have with anyone. You do not have to ask yourself it you have a truly intimate relationship with them or not. If you do, you know you do. If there is a question in your mind whether or not you do, then you probably need to work on that relationship. The same thing goes for our relationship with God. If we really have an intimate relationship with God, we know that we do. We know it because. like with any relationship, we have invested the time and effort that it takes to develop and nurture that relationship. Just like a marriage relationship, our relationship with God is not just by default. It takes actual focused effort to experience the closeness with Him that all of us really want.
