I accepted the Lord Jesus as my Savior when I was in high school and went on to attend a Christian college. The church I belonged to worshiped on Sunday. My husband was raised as a Seventh Day Adventist, and so worshiped on Saturday. Since we've been married I've studied about the history of the Christian church and the chosen day of worship, as well as studying what the Bible has to say. It concerns me that for several hundred years following Jesus' time here on Earth, that Christians continued to worship on the seventh day, and that when it was changed to Sunday, it was changed by man. What do you believe about the 4th commandment?

Seventh Day Sabbath
Men made a change that Yahweh did not authorize. Sabbath is still from sundown Friday until sundown Saturday. If you study the Scriptures in context you will see it clearly. None of the verses cited by proponents of sunday sabbath and the rejection of Yahweh's Sabbath say anything remotely about the change of the day. It is out and out rebellion to walk in opposition to Torah. In doing so we are walking in opposition to Messiah, the Living Torah, since HE never changes. E-mail me bfkidd@ligtel.com and I will be happy to point you to portions of Scripture. -Banner |

Hi Kim, That is a very interesting question, and one that has come up here before. Here is a link to my thoughts about the Sabbath. I hope it helps to answer your question. God Bless! Ameerah Lewis Are YOU a Vessel In Pursuit of God? |
