Tithing Question

by Sharon McGowan
(Mcgehee Arkansas)

I am a tither and I match my offering with my tithes. Right now I am in a financial strait. Right now, I don't even have gas in my car to go to work. I refuse to ask anyone because I want to believe God.

God's help comes in various ways...
by: Ameerah

Hi Sharon,

I can definitely understand what you are going through. My husband and I have been through many financial trials, but I am definitely here to tell you that God has brought us through them all.

But, the way that He brought us through each time was different. One time, He gave my mother a raise so that she could send us money to help us out.

"How is that God helping you?" Many Christians would ask. Because God helps people through people. He does it every day.

I say that to say, being in refusal for asking for help may be standing in the way of God using someone close to you to be a blessing in your life. Allowing other people to sow into your life opens up the windows of heaven in their life. When we refuse to allow people to be a blessing to us, we are actually stopping the return that God wants to give to them for being givers.

Now, there have been other ways that God has provided for us, but many many times it has been through Him abundantly blessing someone else and us humbling ourselves enough to allow some of that blessing to flow down to us.

I hope that helps.

God Bless,
Ameerah
