What's a Help Meet To You?

What is a help meet to you? Here is one woman's thought on the term "Help Meet" after completing Lesson 2 of "Why Did God Create Woman, The Help Meet Dilemma:
1. Has the term 'help meet" ever bothered you? Why or why not?
The term help meet never bothered me. I always sensed it was a much deeper more beautiful thing to be.
2. What changes about the way you see yourself when you meditate on the idea of being an ezer?
For me nothing changes when I think on the word ezer because I suppose I was taught early that women are strong and caring and sensitive and women can view things in my opinion in a much broader scope of beauty.
3. God has made each of us for a very specific reason. Have you given any thought to your God ordained destiny?
I have always thought on my ordained destiny. I just never seem to figure it out enough to do what I need to do as the Lord calls me to.

What is a HelpMeet?
It took me a minute to realize what a help meet was. This is my second marriage and the first marriage I just wanted to live right not looking at death do you part mean.When I became delivered from just being married God stepped in and gave me a time of separation from man. He allowed me time to study his word between then and now. A helpmeet is a ministry partnership to one another. Women has to understand that when you marry the man is your covering and we are the intercessor for our husband in God. Husband and Wife is to help each other spiritually, mentally , and physically and trust God to do the rest in faith. We as believers have to learn to be submissive to God ordinance in his Holy Word. And when all else fails we have to love God whole-heartedly and what we dont know he will show us in his word. |

Sensing the truth...
I like how you said that you always sensed that the word "Help Meet" was deeper and more beautiful than what it initially appears. I think a lot of times we sense what God is really saying in His Word. Something inside of us knows the truth. I think for me it can become a battle between what I feel in my heart and what I hear others saying the Bible means. I think I always sensed there was something more to the word "Help Meet," but I pushed it to the back of my mind because what I was being taught was counter to what I felt in my heart.
