In Lesson 1: The Creation of Woman: Why Did God Bother, we learned about why God made woman. Here are Debs thoughts on the Bible study reflection questions:
1. How does it feel to know that you were God's answer to His problem?
To be God's answer to a problem is scary. I feel the pressure to have to fill the answer by performance. I have to live up to God choosing me.
2. Are there times in your life when you have felt like being a woman was more of a problem than an answer? Why or why not?
I don't have a problem with being a woman. I like being a woman. If there was a problem, my being a woman was not one of them.

The Pressure of womanhood
Deb, Sorry it took me so long to respond to your post. I had not felt the best over the past few weeks. But, I really wanted to comment one one thing in particular that you said. I can definitely relate to what you are saying about being the answer to God's problem being a scary feeling. I know God has not given us a spirit of fear, but realizing that being a woman is a calling unto itself can be quite intimidating. The one thing that helps me to deal with the pressure is knowing that I don't have to do it all by myself. I have God with me through the power of the Holy Spirit. He can guide me and strengthen me to be all that He created me to be. It is exciting to know that you have a Partner in your life that knows your shortcomings and has the power to strengthen all of your weaknesses. Makes me want to say "PRAISE GOD!" |
