how do i deal with addictions. What scriptures in the bible do i turn to for comfort and guidance?

I have been addicted to alcohol for 30 years. For two years i have prayed for god to take it away from me. 11 days ago my wife told me she doesnt want me anymore.i havent touched or wanted alcohol since. My wife still doesnt want me but im still alcohol free. All i can say is ty for that jesus.
