Getting a more in depth understanding of God's Word

About me...
I am 34 years old and I have three beautiful, healthy and wonderful children. Despite many hard blows from satan and many mistakes in my life, God has never let me sink, but has always pulled me up out of the waters before I drowned in my sin. For that I am very thankful.
Date of Entry: 11/27/08
Scriptures: I've been trying to use commentaries along with the Bible to get a better understanding of what I've been reading for years and years. From doing so, God has opened up His Word to me in such a way that I never thought possible. I am so thankful for God putting me into the situation that He did that made me question my own knowledge of the Bible and which ultimately led me to digging deeper so to speak in the Word and it has definitely paid off.
My thoughts...Oooh, there are so many thoughts bouncing around in my head that it would be very difficult to put them down in this small space.
Questions it brought to my mind...I have several questions, but they are slowly being answered as I seek godly counsel and continue digging deeper into the Word of God to understand it as best as I can.
My closing prayer...Thank You God for showing me that I needed to understand Your Word more clearly and thank You for sending someone in my path with the perfect question for me that would start me on this journey I've started with trying to understand You and Your Word better.

How may I Help?
I am glad to see a sincere desire of heart to understand the Word of God better. Remember, in all of our trials and suffering, it is hard for us to keep in our minds what Jesus said;"Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." We go through life in a physical body, but as a born again Christian, our minds have been renewed. It is from the carnal mind that rebellion towards God happens, nut the spirit mind can overcome the fleshly. Remember what Jesus told Nicodemus when he questioned Jesus concerning being born again, and Jesus answered him in this manner,"They that are born of the flesh are flesh, but they that are born of the Spirit are Spirit."
