Hearing From God

Is Hearing From God a priority in your life? In our Bible lesson Can You Hear God's Voice? we talked about the importance and power of hearing from God. Here is what Pat had to say on what life experience has taught her about waiting to hear from God.

I truly thank God for His Word because through it He speaks and He also confirms to me what He said.

Sometimes I think in our eagerness to help we take a step before we hear from God concerning what He wants us to do. I made that mistake and I was angry with myself and really upset because the person I was trying to give help did not appreciate it!

You can tell when people are fake, so I cried out to my Father and He gave me His Word to get me out of the situation and of course He has.

From now on I am to wait on God and not run and jump in just because of what people might say. After all, who are we truly trying to please?

God does not rush to do anything because He is in control of time and everything. I believe it's always best to pray and take time to hear from God and stay in the Word.
