Hearing From God

Hearing from God is a special gift that God has made available to all believers. In our Bible lesson Can you hear God's Voice? we talked about how to hear from God through the leading of the Holy Spirit. Here is Gail's response to that lesson:

Yes, I have heard the voice of God speaking to me.

I have two teenage adopted son's, one who is now having many emotional problems, there have been times when I wanted to give up on them because of my frustrations, and impatience with the situation of raising two very troubled teens. I have heard the voice of God tell me many times, to just step back, and allow Him to handle it, whatever the situation may be at that time. I've found when I did take the time to listen to His voice, and allow Him the control, things would seem to ease more rapidly.

God has promised me, that If I remain strong, He will see me through, and cause my sons to become productive, and caring men.

I'm so thankful for people like you, Ameerah, who see's God's vision so clearly and work to help others, like me. I was lead by the Holy Spirit to your site by chance, and I thank my heavenly Father, for this site, and you, who has by grace, given your life and will over to the divine inspiration of God.

Allowing Holy spirit to lead you

Hi,Gail,

I totally understand what you mean by raising up teenagers these days. They seem to have blastful of temper and frustration. I'm a depressed mum who's always seeking for God's help and yet working so hard on my own finally ended up with more depression and misery.

The quote of the Holy spirit lesson 1 speaks loudly to me; It's not by might, not by power but by the power of the holy spirit!

What can i say? I seek and seek until i found Ameerah website just two days ago. By listening to her voice makes me understand who God's, what it means to be an obedient woman of God.How i thank God for Ameerah for taking the courage to set this website up for all those women out there who needed the right teaching about how to reach out for God. Halelujah and Praise the Lord for Ameerah.

For the first time,i'm in better control of my own thoughts after taking all the steps on how to control my own negative thoughts and replacing the bible verse in my head!

am so glad i came through this site and am sure its an answer to my prayers. All week i was praying for God to reveal to me how to hear him and am so glad i finally got it. My life has been so loud i think i was missing him when he spoke to me but now i know what to listen for. Thankyou.

i believe we can hear God talking to us if we will read his word and rightly discern it. also if we are to hear from God we need to be a doer of his word and not just listen then do something else.

Thank you for sharing your own personal experience of how listening to the leading of the Holy Spirit helps you in your daily life with your boys.

I think what you are saying is so true: "I've found when I did take the time to listen to His voice, and allow Him the control, things would seem to ease more rapidly."

I have found that to be true so many times in my own life.

I would also like to say thank you for the kind words that you said about me and about the website. It really blesses me to hear how God uses The Hem to be a blessing to His people. Sometimes it can seem overwhelming to handle a ministry of this size on my own. But, when I just slow down and follow where God is leading, all of the stress begins to melt away. And, when I hear what God is doing in the lives of His kids, it is so very humbling.
