I do pray that God's will be done in your life. I also pray that God will restore you and be your peace and comfort. I was a bit concerned when I read your prayer request because it sounded as if you feel that a wife will complete you. In all reality, that is not the case. The only one who can complete you is Jesus. He is the only one who can fill that whole in your heart and bring you the joy and peace that your spirit is longing for right now. Many times we chase after things in this world to fulfill a need that only God can fill. That is indeed why many marriages fail. People expect their spouse to fill a need that they were not designed to fill. When they do not and the person is left feeling just as empty as they were when they began, they think that their marriage just isn't working. The real issue is that you have two broken people who thought another person could make them whole. I would really encourage you to pray for wholeness and for God to draw you closer to Him. Pray that He prepares you for your mate and your mate for you. And then trust that you are in His will and that He will guide your life as He sees fit. Because if you are unhappy single, you will be miserable married. Why? Because you will finally have what you had hoped would fill the hole, and the hope of ever feeling truly whole will begin to fade away. I hope I was not too harsh, but I pray that God will reveal my true intentions to your heart and that, by His Spirit, you will understand what I was attempting to say.
