Thanking God and asking him to bless the food

I baked a loaf of bread and i thanked god and asked him to bless it. This loaf will last me a week. Do i need to ask him to bless it and thank him for it every time i take a bite through out the week? I can see thanking him every time but if i asked him to bless it, would that mean its still considered blessed the next day? Please let me know what you think.
