consistency in prayer, fasting and study of the Word

by Annetta Williams
(Shreveport, LA)

I am reading the Bible thru this year. I began with 3 chapters from the Old Testament. My daughter and her church family are doing the same thing as well as my brother's church. I want people to hold me accountable.

I will spend more time with the Lord.

I am becoming more cautious of what I eat. I want to lose weight. I'm working on not eating after 7:00 p.m. For a snack after 7:00 p.m., it's something like a piece of fruit or pickles and tea.

I want the Lord to restore my passion for the prison ministry, nursing home ministry, outreach and prayer ministry. I want Him to be Lord of my life. I want to experience Him in a way that I've never experienced before.

I want the Lord to deliver me from procrastination and every form of fear.

consistency in prayer, fasting, and the study of the Word NEW

Lord restore the joy of my salvation. Help me to study and fast the way I used to do when I first began to seek Him. I need the Father to help me be committed to the things of God more than I am the things of the world.

Step Out In Faith
by: Minister Marlene

Also, sometimes as we pray, we need to step out in faith and begin work for the kingdom of God. Whatever the passions for ministry are, start moving into action. Become a pen pal to someone in prison, visit a nursing home and read scripture to someone. Take steps towards what you believe God wants you to do. While you are in motion, you've given the Lord a work to direct you with. As you move, God will lead you along. Sometimes passions are rekindled when we just jump into action on any level we can find. You could even find comments on this website to reply to. Encourage someone else on the Hem, and God's will reap encouragement back to you. Perhaps, there is a new direction for you, as you serve and move into action, you give God something to bless and teach you through.

Ask the Lord in Prayer Regarding his plans for your life
by: Anonymous

Procrastination and fear are a sign that something is not right. Ask the Lord in prayer to reveal to you what it is. Is the ministry you lost passion for his purpose for your life? Does God have something else in mind for you? Or are you on the right track but experiencing blocks for a reason unknown to you? Begin to pray on these points and continue on the same prayer until God answers you. Praying will also bring you more peace in the matter.
