Reverence

The word of God for 2012 for my home is that we will walk in seasons of God's overflow and to walk in God's overflow we need to reverence God which is having the fear of God in our lives totally surrrendering to God. Psalms 25-12-14 speaks about having the fear of God on our lives. it is really wonderful and that is what I am trusting God for in 2012

God's word told us to fear not so I am seeking the fear of God, the reverence.

Breaking the bondage of sin over your life!

Dear Frind in Christ,for the unbeliever, the fear of God is the fear of the judgment of God and eternal death, which is eternal separation from God (Luke 12:5; Hebrews 10:31). For the believer, the fear of God is something much different. The believer's fear is reverence of God. Hebrews 12:28-29 is a good description of this: “Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our ’God is a consuming fire.’” This reverence and awe is exactly what the fear of God means for Christians. This is the motivating factor for us to surrender to the Creator of the Universe.
Where the sin part is concerned, my opinion is that we often burden ourselves down with the guilt of sin, yes we are not perfect, yes we will make mistakes, but Jesus died so that we may have life and have it more abundantly. When Jesus died on the cross He siad it is finished, all our sins have been forgiven. We do not have to stress ourselves out over the mistakes we make. Remember, we are not perfect.
Hope this makes a difference/change in our approach to sin.
