So Many Good Points...
by: Ameerah

Kathy, You have made so many good points in here, I do not even know where to start!

One of my favorites is what you said about spending more time with the Lord. You said "spending time listening to the Lord and not talking so much, but listening (meditation) waiting to hear a word from the Lord for myself."

Honestly, I think this can be more of an issue for women because we love to talk (-:

But, seriously, taking the time out to listen to the Lord and learning to hear His voice for OURSELVES is such an important part of developing that intimate relationship with Him that our spirits are crying out for! The challenge that we all face is making the time to do it.

I also like how you set a specific amount of time for yourself as a goal - 15 minutes alone with God twice a day. That is a very attainable goal but it is also a very powerful one.

Sometimes we take for granted what God can do with just a few minutes of our lives. We think that just because we can not set aside two hours for prayer like Sister So-and-So we can't do anything or that we are not good Christians. But, God can do mighty things with even five minutes of meditation on Him. Let's not underestimate Him!

Thank you so much for sharing. I know what you said was a blessing to me!

Ameerah
