When we decide to live for God, His love makes us a brand new person!
We become God’s children. As we learn more about Him every day, we are
supposed to act more like Him.
God does not lie and He does not want us
to lie. When we lie, it makes God sad.
Why? Because Lies hurt people.
Lies hurt the person being lied to. They
feel hurt that they were not told the truth.
Lies hurt the person telling the lie. It
separates them from their Father God’s Love.
If you realize you are telling a lie – Stop Quick!
- Tell the person you are talking to that it is not really
true, and apologize!
- Tell God that you are sorry for lying. Ask Him to help you
to always tell the truth!
Let’s
Talk About It!
- What does God tell us about lying to each other in
Colossians?
- What happens to us when we decide to live for God?
- Who are we supposed to be like?
- How does it make God feel when we lie? Why?
